Dian L. Parks' Obituary
PARKS, Dian L., age 63, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her residence.
Dian worked 20 years for Warren County DD and an additional 12 years as a special needs bus aide for Lebanon City Schools.
Soft-spoken, caring, family-oriented, always positive and upbeat, Dian was a hard worker and committed to her work. She had a nurturing personality and spent her life caring for those with special needs and the elderly who have needs with daily necessities.
Earlier in her life, she enjoyed riding with her husband on the motorcycle. Always an animal lover, she always had dogs and cats around the house to care for. She loved camping, and it became a tradition to take short trips to Windon Woods or Caesar Creek State Park to enjoy the outdoors. She adored her grandchildren and loved taking them to Kings Island. Thrifting, garage sales, and shopping at Goodwill were also a favorite pastime for Dian. During the Christmas season, it became a tradition for Dian and her daughter to make Christmas cookies together. In addition, they always dyed Easter eggs during easter. Visiting the root beer stand in Sharonville was also one of Dian’s favorite traditions. Among many things, she will be remembered for her love of collecting gnomes.
Dian was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anita Gableman. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph “Ron” Parks; daughter, Ashley Marsh; two grandchildren, Trinity Johnston and Bentley Parks; one brother, Greg (Ngu) Gableman; and sister, Karen (Dennis) Denoff.
The family will receive friends 4 -6 PM Tuesday, March 25 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 6 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home, with Chi Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to be made toward the funeral expenses. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
