Donald E. Carrier's Obituary
CARRIER, Donald E., age 80, of Centerville, passed away Fri. Oct. 19, 2018 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing and Rehab in Kettering.
Donald retired in 1994 after working more than 30 years between NCR and Delphi. He has been a faithful member of Oak Creek Worship Center in Kettering for 22 years.
Happy and outgoing, Donald was a high integrity man with a continuous upbeat and positive attitude. He was very family oriented, honest to a fault, genuine, caring, and giving. He greatly enjoyed boating on Lake Cumberland, camping, classic cars-especially the ’57 chevy he once owned, bowling, raising tomatoes, and taking the kids to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Among the many things, he will be remembered for his love of going out to eat at Frisch’s or a good buffet restaurant and strawberry ice cream.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Mary Carrier, step daughter Donna Hymer, and one sister Mayme Relliford. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Glenda; two sons Tim (Cheryl) Carrier and Darren (Erin) Carrier; step daughters Rhonda Ryan and Lisa Hymer (Chris Cash); nine grandchildren Kyle, Chris, Ryan, Luke, and Noah Carrier, Cayla and George Ryan, Amanda (Dillon) Argabrite, and Shane Cash; five great grandchildren; one sister Lora (David) Dixon; one brother Ronald (Ginny) Carrier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tues. Oct. 23 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville, OH. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wed. Oct. 24 at Oak Creek Worship Center, 4800 Bigger Rd., Kettering, OH 45440. Pastor Jim McPhearson will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. If desired, contributions may be made to the Oak Creek Worship Center. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
