Donald "Don" Robert Tinney's Obituary
TINNEY, Donald “Don” Robert, age 61, of Spring Valley passed away Sat. July 21, 2018 at the Dayton VA Medical Center.
Don was an Army veteran. He was a charter member of the Waynesville Sons of the American Legion Post 615 and a continuous member for 28 years. He attended Waynesville First Baptist Church. With an outgoing and happy go-lucky personality, Don was a big prankster and always had a positive attitude, even when he wasn’t feeling good. In his spare time you could find him building things and taking his grandkids fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Merle and Barbara June Tinney; brother Jerry Tinney; and two sisters Barbara Collingsworth and Norma Hardey. He is survived by his girlfriend Linda Frantz; son Joey “Joe” (Misty) Tinney; two daughters Miranda Bethel and Holly Hope; six grandsons Logan, Noah, Christopher, Kaden, Landon, and Mikael; and two sisters Linda Tinney and Clara (Jimmy) Rogers.
The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Mon. July 30 at the Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Mon. July 30 at the funeral home. A procession and internment of cremated remains will immediately follow the memorial service at Miami Cemetery, Corwin. If desired, contributions may be made to funeral expenses.
