Donald "Roger" Adkins' Obituary
Adkins, Donald Roger, age 68, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at his residence with his family by his side.
Roger retired in 2023 from Snyder Brick and Block after 50 years of service. He greatly enjoyed guns, cars, playing guitar, bluegrass music, history, and historical reenactments. He was a truck driver, a truck driver's son, worked hard his whole life, and enjoyed his family time most of all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Robert and Ina Adkins; son, Jacob Wesley Adkins; and niece, Elizabeth Morhous. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cathy; his brother, Alvin Adkins (Hamilton); sister, Donna (Jeff) Morhous of Lebanon; sister, Sue (Kenny) Wysong of Springboro; daughter, Vicky (Keith) of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Kim (Mike) Dorgan; bonus daughters, Nancy Vaughn (New Vienna) and Jenny Courney (New Carlisle); ten grandchildren, Samuel and Grace Yocum, Tiffany Gibson, Hunter Adkins, Michael Dorgan, Brittney Heard, Caiti and Timmy Courney, and Amanda and Michael Vaughn; and 11 great-grandchildren Jacob, Payton and Dawson Gibson, Sycylia, James, Joshua, and Alexander Heard, Leora Needler, Jodi Needler, and Isaiah and Carson Vaughn.
A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Keith Yocum will be officiating. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Saturday, September 23, at the funeral home.
