Doris J. Peters' Obituary
PETERS, Doris J., age 83, of Dayton, passed away Thurs. Oct. 18, 2018 at River Oaks Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Miamisburg.
Doris graduated form Mars High School in PA, class of ’53, and from the Dayton Bible Institute in Ohio. She worked nearly 10 years at Standard Register. She was a long time member of the Dodd’s Pentecostal Church, playing the piano, teaching Sunday School, and helping to start Vacation Bible School at the church. She greatly enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mary Campbell and three brothers Ray, Dean, and Don Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Willie “Bill” Peters; two daughters Joy Lynn (Darrell) Sharp and Karen (Steve) Boggs; five grandchildren Deidre (Ben) Shoemaker, Victor Boggs, Isaac Boggs, Tyler Sharp, and Megan Sharp; one brother Glen (Barbara) Campbell; and two sisters Betty Johnson and Mary (Harry) Blakely.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Mon. Oct. 22 at Dodd’s Pentecostal Church. Pastor Bill Lamb and Kelly Rogers will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Sun. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
