Doris June Wilcher's Obituary
WILCHER, Doris June, age 78, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at Otterbein Lebanon SeniorLife Community.
Doris retired in 2010, after more than 20 years of service as a quality control operator for wire harnesses and circuit board manufacturing.
She enjoyed watching shows on TV, from The Andy Griffith show to Judge Judy, and especially her favorite, Leave It To Beaver. Over the years, she collected numerous recipes and enjoyed watching a variety of different cooking shows. She appreciated a good thrift store and regularly hunted for the next best treasure. As a person who was a friend to everyone who crossed her path, she could spend hours talking on the phone with her friends and family. She was a proud grandmother who loved her grandchildren very much and would often brag about them to others. Her family was the center of her life, always reminded them by telling them she loved them before they ever had the chance to say it first. The Christmas season was one of her favorite holidays. She cherished the family gatherings and the ability to look at all the intricate decorations.
She was preceded in death by her parents Reece and Juanita McLemore. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert; two sons Robert Wilcher Jr. and Michael (Sherry) Wilcher; one daughter Kimberly (Joe) Vaughn; and four grandchildren Brittany Vaughn, Jessica Wilcher, Brandon Wilcher, and Nathan Wilcher.
A graveside service will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 27 at Middle Run Cemetery, 3484 Middle Run Rd., Waynesville, Ohio 45068. Pastor Joe Shutts will be officiating. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to New Freedom Church in Lebanon. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
