Doug Meyers was intelligent, clever, witty, and generous with his time, gifts, and hospitality. He was a caring uncle. I always enjoyed our discussions on politics and books and appreciated all of the career advice and his unique sense of humor. Doug's insights and observations were invaluable. I will treasure the caring kindnesses shown to my father and me when we lost my mother, memories of the wonderful dinners with Doug and Mary, to the anticipated "bigger and better than ever Christmas Village" at the holidays. Doug was a brilliant man and one with whom I enjoyed discussing opera and classical music as we shared the same interests. Since we both worked at Avon, I always enjoyed chatting in the halls with him. My Mother (Zora Whitis) is a close friend of Sue Brown's and so after leaving Avon we were able to keep in touch with Doug and Mary, through Sue. To say that he will be missed is a gross understatement.
