Dear Miller Family- On August 19, 2012 not only did you loose a husband, father and grandfather the Veterinary Profession lost one of its BEST. I grew up knowing Steve from the age of 6. I can remember taking our cocker spaniels for care when he worked out of his family's home located on Route 73. Over the years he care for our sheep, ponies and horses. In 1989 my mare coliced for her third time, her final time, as Steve always did with his kind and gentle way he relieved her pain in the kindest way one could, he put her down at my childhood home. I moved away for about 20 years and upon my return to Ohio Steve welcomed me back into his life and cared for my horses until his final visit to our home in March, and now his final resting place with God. He was one of my inspirations for my becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. I hope I can follow in his footsteps of gentle compassionate care. He is gone from this earth BUT will never be forgotten. God rest his soul!
