E. Jane Walters' Obituary
WALTERS, E. “Jane”, age 79, of Blanchester and formerly of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Laurels of Blanchester.
Jane retired after 33 years of service as a preschool teacher from the Head Start - Clinton County Community Action Program in Wilmington. She attended Pentecostal churches for most of her life.
Loving, caring, giving, independent, and strong-minded, Jane's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her other passions included feeding and caring for hummingbirds, flower and vegetable gardening, and running around to yard sales. She adored her cats and treated them like royalty. She collected Thomas Kincade and hummingbird figurines. Among many things, she will be remembered for how much she enjoyed hosting the family holiday dinners back in the day.
She was preceded in death by two previous spouses, Donald Lamb and Raymond Moon; one son Darrell Lamb; her parents Clyde and Carrie Shutts; one sister Janet Cason; and three brothers Ernest Shutts, Marvin Shutts, and Vernon Lakes. She is survived by three sons Donald Lamb Jr., Dewayne Lamb, and Mike (Debbie) Cain; her daughter Delphin Murphy; four grandchildren Brent (Kelly) Stone, Brandon Bennett Kyla (Josh) Werner, and Delayne (Brendan) Wergowske; eight great-grandchildren Jakaylon, Benjamin, Emalee, Colten, Bryceton, Kyle, Heaven, and Paisley; one brother Charles Shutts; two sisters Carolyn Apking and Ellora Pegg; and her best friend Robin Crone.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, November 15 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
