Edward J. Plogsted Jr.'s Obituary
PLOGSTED, Edward J. Jr., age 75, of Waynesville, passed away Thurs. March 29, 2018 at Sycamore Hospital. Edward was a Marine Corp veteran, serving in the 1st Battalion/3rd Marines. He retired from Dayton Progress after approximately 30 years of service.
Ed was an avid bowler, currently playing in leagues at Eastern Lanes in Middletown and Poelking Lanes in Dayton. He also enjoyed golfing, running his beagle dogs, hunting, and fishing with his wife in MI during his earlier years. He will be remembered for being kind, friendly, giving, and his outgoing personality.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine, his parents Edward Sr. and Marie Plogsted, and his brother Jimmy Plogsted. He is survived by his daughter Janelle Stamper, grandson Shawn Stamper, great grandchildren Taylor and Dylan, sister Marlene Rahm, two aunts Catherine Rohlman and Ruth Holt, and nephew David Rahm.
A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Tues. April 3 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Heritage Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Mon. at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
