Eleanor (Marconet) Freeland's Obituary
FREELAND, Eleanor (Marconet) age 81 of Waynesville passed away Mon. Sept. 17, 2007 at Sycamore Hospital. Eleanor was the widow of Charles Freeland who died in 1972. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville and also a dedicated member of St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was employed by THE Waynesville National Bank for 26 years. She retired in 1984 at which time she was Vice President and Cashier of the Bank. After retirement she thoroughly enjoyed traveling with “Warren County Senior Citizens” group. This includes many dear close friends, namely June, Joan, Dorothy, Lois, and Lucretia. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers Paul, Gordon, Francis “Bud”, and Walter “Gene”; four sisters Catherine Drake, Louise Thompson, Dolores “Dot” Bushelman, and Rose Hines. She is survived by one sister Ruth Heffner; two sisters-in-law Ruth Worthington and Hilda Marconet; special nephew and family David, Sami, and Eric Guttery; and many other nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews to whom she was always Aunt Ellie. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thurs. Sept. 20 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Waynesville. Father Raymond Kammerer celebrant. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Wed. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
