Ernie was one of a kind.. I worked for him at Friends Home in Waynesville.. He was a true friend.. Could be honorary but over passionate for his work as administrator of his company.. Always had to be a smarty when you’d ask when he’d be back so in case workers call .. He would respond to me “when you see the whites of my eyes” And off he’d go.. And the “turnip truck “ he bought and named.. He loved that green truck but it suited him.. Sending hugs & prayers to Ernies family .. RIP Ernie.. Kim & Rick Weidle

My life has been blessed by knowing Ernie. He was the key to enabling me to work a nine year employment term at Talbert House-TCC-Lebanon, and Serenity Hall-Hamilton. What a kind soul he was. He always made me laugh, gave me great advice, and was a mentor to me on the job. He made no bones about knowing Jesus and showcased it daily. Ernie was tough when he needed to be, but compassion, and sincerity were his virtues. Everyone I came in contact with at Talbert House, clients and staff, had admiration for Ernie. He touched a ton of lives in work and in life. He will be missed but not forgotten. I thank God that he came into my life when I needed a lift, a friend, and and a mentor.
