Esther "Annette" Smith's Obituary
SMITH, Esther “Annette”, age 91, of Gainesville, Florida and formerly of Waynesville, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, in Florida.
Before moving to Florida for retirement, Annette owned and operated Home Seekers Realty in the Waynesville, Spring Valley, and Centerville surrounding area with her husband.
Outgoing, caring, and always helpful, Annette greatly enjoyed crafts, antiques, yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling back to her birthplace in West Virginia each summer for family reunions and gatherings, which became her fond tradition. She will be remembered for how much she loved kids and how proud she was of her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1995; daughter, Valerie Powers; and her parents, Albert and Elva Willis. She is survived by her son, Steven Smith; five grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Amanda Gage, Jennifer (Shawn) Liebold, Erica (Matt) Pollock, and Jackie Powers; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Dean; and six sisters, Sharon, Ilene, Brenda, Rosemary, Carol Sue, and Betty.
A graveside service will be held at noon Monday, July 25, at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Pastor Dale McCloud will be officiating. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
