Everett Chasteen's Obituary
CHASTEEN, Everett, age 101, of Franklin, passed away Wed. March 14, 2018 at his residence. Everett graduated from Franklin High School, class of ’38, and retired from Frigidaire in 1972 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin and the Franklin Masonic Lodge #55. He greatly enjoyed his camping and card clubs, Reds baseball, woodworking, and fishing. He was preceded in death by one son Earl Chasteen; his parents Harry and Flora Chasteen; three brothers Earl, Ernest, and Harry Chasteen; and one sister Pearl Ward. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sarah; sons James (Thoy) Chasteen and Gary (Laura) Chasteen; daughter Rebecca (Robert) Miller; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one sister Madileen Gravenstine; and daughter-in-law Brenda Chasteen. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sun. March 18 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will immediately follow the service Sun. at Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Laura Saunders will be officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:30 PM Sun. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the Franklin First Methodist Church.
