Everett C. "Weasel" Miller's Obituary
MILLER, Everett C., age 90 and locally known as “Weasel”, passed away Tues. Aug. 15, 2006 at the Sycamore Hospital. Born Aug. 21, 1916 to Frank and Mae Miller in Waynesville. A lifelong resident of Waynesville, he was well respected and considered to be the oldest living business man in town. Weasel served the Waynesville area for over 62 years and retired in 2000 from the BP gas station, of which he co-owned with his son. A race car enthusiast, he enjoyed working on and building circle track and drag strip race cars and greatly enjoyed attending races with his family. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Waynesville and preiously served on the Wayne Township Fire Department for over 15 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Minnie in 1999; three brothers George, Carl, and Emerson Miller; and one sister Elsie Schofield. He is survived by his son Everett “Teatle” Miller Jr. of Waynesville; two daughters Betty M. Miller of Waynesville and Jo Ann and her husband David Lawrence of TX; three grandchildren Rodney Gruber, Bryan Miller, and Sheli Miller; and two sisters Laura Rosing and Mary Ramey both of Kettering. Funeral services 3:00 P.M. Sat. Aug. 19 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Fri. at the funeral home.
