Faith Elaine Barney's Obituary
BARNEY, Faith Elaine, age 84, of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Faith was an OR Nurse for Kettering Medical Center for over 20 years. She was a loyal Beavercreek Seventh-day Adventist Church member for 49 years. She directed the choir, played the piano and organ, sang, and taught several classes. She was a very talented seamstress. She could easily hem and mend clothes, and create clothing and costumes for her grandchildren. Faith enjoyed riding her bike and playing card and table games, especially Mexican Train. She always looked forward to the summer months when she would have a garden. She was well known for baking bread. It was a family tradition to go camping. She continued her love of travel with her husband after her kids had grown up, and she took a few cruises with some dear friends. Being a social butterfly and knowing how to have fun, she had multiple friends from all over the country. She had a prim and proper personality, which allowed her to be conservative in nature and frugal in her spending. Among many things, she will be remembered for the love she had for her husband and her devotion to her Lord and Savior.
Faith was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 2014; parents, Chester and Frieda Beis; two brothers, Charles “Charlie” Beis and Warren Beis; and one sister, Myrna Brimmer. She is survived by her two daughters, Christine (Cameron) Bowman and Janelle (Chad) Vert; six grandchildren, Wesley, Ryan, Tayllor, Carson, Lindsay, and Briannan; one great-grandchild, Aaliyah; three nieces, Lisa, Melanie, and Debbie; and one nephew, Steven.
A memorial service will be at 4 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Beavcreek Seventh-day Adventist Church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be made at www.stubbsconner.com.
