Felicia L. Jenks' Obituary
JENKS, Felicia L., age 69, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024.
Felicia graduated from Lebanon High School, class of '73. As a child, she participated in Warren County's 4H horse program. As an adult, she operated Chub's Flowers in Lebanon, a local flower shop passed down from her father, for over 30 years. Although she retired from the flower shop in 2005, she has been working part-time for the past several years at Baysore's Flower Shop in Mason. She attended 4U Cowboy Gathering, a cowboy church in Lebanon.
Accommodating, understanding, selfless, always on the go, and perfect in the eyes of her family, Felicia was kind and had the perfect mixture of sassy. Her smile was welcoming, and her hugs were comforting, as she did not meet a stranger. She enjoyed reading, mainly, mysteries by James Patterson. She was a fan of the Bengals, Reds, and Chicago Bulls. However, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and activities gave her the most joy. She was a great cook, with her chicken and dumplin's, seven-layer salad, and lasagna being some of her most notable dishes.
While Felicia enjoyed the tradition of visiting her parents' home for Sunday dinner, she made visiting Gatlinburg one of her favorite traditions. She loved Gatlinburg so much that she was known to work hard to be able to visit the Smokies as often as every six weeks. It was her happy place, and she enjoyed staying in a friend's cabin, but they found themselves staying on The Island downtown Gatlinburg after the recent fire.
She collected birdhouses, pictures, as she loved to scrapbook, and Diet Coke. Among many things, she will be remembered for calling her daughter "Monique", even before her son started dating his girlfriend by the same name, and for humorously calling her son "my little Angel Bunny." She will also be remembered by everyone who looked at her as her mom and Mamaw, including Hannah Bolling, whom her children humorously referred to as Felicia's favorite child.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Chub" and Martha Roflow, and one brother, Frank Roflow. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Miller; son, Jeff Jenks (Monique); four grandchildren, Lincoln, Waylon, Logan, and Riley; assumed daughter, Hannah (Josh) Bolling; and by Hannah's children, Jacob and Maci, who they referred Felicia to as Mamaw.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Warren County Fairgrounds, 665 N. Broadway St., Lebanon, Ohio 45036, Building A. A life celebration gathering will be immediately follow the service. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
