Forrest Leroy "Larry" Schott's Obituary
SCHOTT, Forrest L. and Thelma R., both age 92, formerly of Waynesville passed away of natural causes Thurs. Nov. 6 and Sat. Nov. 8, 2014 respectively. They would have celebrated their 74th year of marriage on Nov. 9. Forrest was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Kettering American Legion. He greatly enjoyed bowling, church activities, and helping out at church functions. Thelma greatly enjoyed raising horses, quilting, and they both greatly enjoyed spending time with their family. They founded Schott Plumbing in Kettering, owned an Arabian horse farm in Waynesville, and being devout Catholics, were faithful members of the Centerville Church of the Incarnation. They were preceded in death by a daughter Kathy, granddaughter Wendy Forsythe (Doug) Malicote, his parents Leroy Schott and Marie Yarger, her parents Joseph and Lillian Schell, her brother Jim Schell, and her sisters Marie Steiner and Arline Ulrich. They are survived by three daughters Marline Forsythe, Diann (Ralph) Holtvoigt, and Lorry Clinton; three granddaughters Julie (Allen) Carter, Stephanie (Dan) Baker, and Krissy (Mike) Hott; four great grandchildren Michael, Kevin, Katie, and Andy; and three great great grandchildren. A joint memorial service will be held 1 PM Fri. Nov. 14 at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Dayton. Father Scott Wright will be the celebrant.
