Gary P. Smith's Obituary
SMITH, Gary P. age 62 of Lebanon and formerly of Dayton passed away Wed. Dec. 24, 2008 at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. Gary was a Vietnam Army veteran and retired from GM in 1998 after 30 years of service. In recent years he has worked part time at the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA in Lebanon and at Holly Hills Golf Course in Waynesville. He greatly enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Carlton Smith and one brother Gerald Smith. He is survived by Linda, his wife of 31 years; two sons David and John Smith; daughter Mary Smith; step son Roger Hazel; step daughter Susan Anderson; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his mother Shirley Smith; three brothers Doug, Larry, and Tom Smith; and one sister Sylvia Lindberg. Graveside services Noon Fri. Jan. 2 at Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor David Newman officiating. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Fisher House in Cincinnati.
