Gene L. Downs' Obituary
DOWNS, Gene L., age 82, of Lebanon and formerly of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at Cedarview Nursing & Rehab in Lebanon.
Gene retired from Miamisburg Mound as a chemist after many years of service. He was a member of the Mound Science & Energy Association.
Athletic and active in sports during his life, Gene was an avid golfer and table tennis player. Very kind with a quiet persona, he enjoyed vacationing with his girlfriend, especially ski vacations to Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Hazel Downs; his brother Leroy Downs; and his girlfriend Japnell Braun. He is survived by his special friend that looked after him, Karen Purkey.
