Georgia M. Watkins' Obituary
WATKINS, Georgia M., age 81, of Waynesville, passed away Thurs., Dec. 19, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital.
Humble, easy going, and extremely family oriented, Georgia was one who never complained. She had an addictive laugh and couldn’t force herself to turn the channel when Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, or a Hallmark movie came on. Over the years, she enjoyed working in the arts and crafts building at the Warren County Fair, canning, sewing, and baking - especially baking during the holidays with family members. She also enjoyed chatting with her old classmates on the phone and during reunions. Some of her greatest memories were the two week trips that she made with her family every summer. In addition, with her son-in-law being in the military, she also got to travel to such exciting locals as Scotland and Guam, which usually coincided with the birth of a grandchild. One of her favorite trips however, was recent family related trip to Texas this last August and September.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 2018; her parents McKinley and Anna Wilder; four brothers Homer, Hobart, Ralph, and Pete Wilder; and three sisters Audrey Bryant, Helen Hausermann, and Norma Sumner. She is survived by her two daughters Ramona (Freddie) Leal and Janice (Alan) Yarbrough; six grandchildren Mandy Morris, Cody Morris, Stephanie (Ritchie) Graciano, Shanita Yarbrough, Zechariah Leal, and Skyler Leal; and four great grandchildren Waylon Morris, Jakeem Yarbrough, Amelie Graciano, and Aurora Graciano.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Mon., Dec. 23 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Sun. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
