Jerry was a fabulous man and I am so blessed that I got to know him. What an inspiration - he always had a joke written on a piece of paper in his pocket so he would be prepared to make someone laugh. He told me about the time he was in the service - "Battle of the Bulge" and a friend of his talked him into riding in the side car of a motor bike. Jerry told me that was the last time he did that because the guy wrecked and the side car became detached. He always ate healthy and even though he knew the Cassano brothers he didn't eat pizza and stayed away from fried foods. So, of course, from time to time I would tease him on our way grocery shopping and tell him we were going through McDonald's drive through to get some french fries. He said we could get them but he wasn't eating them. He said, "we should eat to live, not live to eat". I will truly miss Jerry as I have since he moved to Quaker Heights. My prayer is that we shall meet again one day -##imported-begin##Brenda Slaughter##imported-end##
