Gilbert Fox's Obituary
FOX, Gilbert age 88, of Harveysburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at Quaker Heights Care Community. Gilbert was a farmer for the majority of his life. He greatly enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music, reading the bible, and writing in his journals. He was preceded in death by his son Richard “Rick” Fox; parents Wesley Fox and Rosa Arvin; five brothers Floyd, Vernon, Clarence, Raymond, and Luther Fox. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Viola; three sons Farrell Fox and Doug (Yvonne) Fox of TX, and Earl (Cathy) Fox of Wilmington; three daughters Faye (Dave) Vanscoy of Waynesville, Kathy Fox of TX, and Connie Perdue of Lebanon; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brothers Clonta (Mary) Fox of SC; two sisters Bertha (Tommy) Davis of GA and Irenna (Doug) Jones of MS. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, Oct. 10 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Charlie Wells will be officiating. The family will receive friends 12- 1 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dayton Miami Valley Hospice. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
