Gilbert Frye's Obituary
Frye, Gilbert S. age 97 of Waynesville passed away Tues. Feb. 27, 2007 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home, Waynesville. Gilbert retired from farming in 2000 after 65 years of service and was a member of the Society of Friends of the Quaker faith. He sat on the Wayne Local, Warren County, Warren County Vocational, and Montgomery County Vocational School Board and the Elevator Board. He was a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau, the Grange, Wayne Township Farmers Club, and was a printer for the Miami Gazette for several years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Irma in 1965, two brothers Carl and Glen Frye, and one nephew Fred Frye. He is survived by his wife Betty, two sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Kathy Frye and Don and Mary S. Frye both of Waynesville, step daughter Pam Earnhart of MN, step son Mark Daley of Centerburg, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and nephew Charles Frye. Funeral Services 1 P.M. Thurs. March 1 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Tammy Jo Reiser officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. Thurs. at the funeral home.
