Dr. Glenn Wm Bylsma's Obituary
BYLSMA, Dr. Glenn Wm, age 89 of Waynesville passed away Tues. Sept. 1, 2015 at his residence. He served as a medic in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1954 and was one of the founding Pathologists at Kettering Health Network, practicing from 1964-1991. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and the Rotary Club, both in Kettering. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Hazel Bylsma. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jacquelyn; son Dr. Benjamin Bylsma (Karen Maase); daughters Barbie Bylsma-Houghton, Beverly Bylsma-Shoemaker (Charles), Beatrix Johnson (James); seven grandchildren Brock Houghton (Debbie), Brie Houghton (Jim), Katelyn Shoemaker-Cobb (Jonothan), Kirk Shoemaker (fiancé Chelsea Bartley), Kyle Shoemaker, and Juli & Tiffany Johnson; three great grandchildren Blake Houghton, Brody Houghton, and Isaiah Cobb; one brother Harold Bylsma (Alma); and two nephews Wayne and Wesley Bylsma. Funeral services 1 PM Tues. Sept. 8 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Tues. at the funeral home.
