Harlen E. Brock's Obituary
BROCK, Harlen E., age 80, of South Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Harlen was born March 13, 1940 to Samuel and Goldie Brock in Wileyville, West Virginia. Shortly after moving from West Virginia, Harlen started working for Smokey’s in the Waynesville area building home tresses. He officially retired in 2002 after 20 years of work, but kept busy after retirement by working at Walmart, Kroger’s, and McDonald’s.
Family oriented, outgoing, lovable, and made friends easily, Harlen loved to mow grass and ride his lawnmower. He also liked to help others by mowing the grass for other people. Spending time with his grandchildren was his biggest priority, however. Among many things, people will remember him for his love of collecting ball hats.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Junior; and one sister Hazel. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda; two daughters Aimee (Cory) Sanders and Cindy Brock; three sons Clarence, Robert, and Tim Brock; several grandchildren; and one sister Loretta (Marcus) Teagarden.
Private family services. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
