Helen Hook's Obituary
HOOK, Helen M. age 96 of Wilmington and formerly of Waynesville passed away Tues. May 19, 2009 at Otterbein Home, Lebanon. Helen graduated from Waynesville High School in 1931 and retired from Clinton Massie Schools in 1968 after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Springfield Friends Meeting and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and bicycling. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1989, one brother Wilbur Gebhart, and one sister Sarah Gebhart. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Roger and Diane Hook of Wilmington; daughter and son-in-law Vivian and Bob Kist of Lawrenceburg, IN; three grandchildren Robin (Jason) Todd, Kevin (Jodie) Hook, and Amy Hook; two great grandchildren Logan and Madeline; five step grandchildren Trisha (Chris) Rumsey, Julie (Will) Fecht, Rob (Eleonora) Kist, Kevin (Marcy) Kist, and Ryan (Teara) Kist; 10 step great grandchildren Kaitlyn, John, Jacob, Karen, Cameron, Preston, Hunter, Wyatt, Emilee, and Blaise. Funeral services 1 PM Fri. May 22 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Thurs. at the funeral home.
