Hilda L. Hunter's Obituary
Hilda L. Hunter, 91, of Florence, KY, was called to heaven on Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was born in Paducah, KY, on 2/12/22 to the late Henry Leo and Mary Ermine (Willett) Van Ness and raised in Fancy Farm, KY. Hilda married Samuel McGlothin in the 1930's, widowed in 1961 and then married Virgil Hunter in 1971. She is survived by her daughters Jackie Barnett (Jim), Patty Radank (Tom), Sharon Dakin (Ernie) and step-son Gary Martin; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, her sisters, Mary Ruth Krob (Norb), Jean Smith, Gena Foote and a brother Henry Van Ness, Jr. Preceded in death are her sisters Catherine Finn & Magdalene Fister and brother Gerald Van Ness. Hilda was an active member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, 7804 Pleasant Valley Road, Florence, KY 41042. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to her church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, viewing will be from 10:00-12:00, funeral immediately following at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville, OH 45068.
