Holly R. Thackston's Obituary
THACKSTON, Holly R., age 38, of Waynesville, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital South.
Loving, caring, and devoted, Holly was very generous. She had a very loyal and comical personality and always tried to make others laugh. Holly had a passion for reading. Her favorite genres were drama, action, and romance; each page carried her into a different world. She enjoyed crocheting and creating beautiful items with her hands. She looked forward to dressing up and wearing makeup when she had a special occasion. She would go for a car ride to feel the wind in her hair, relax, and feel free. Talking on the phone was always her favorite habit. She had a tradition of fishing with her cousin. Over the years, she gained a collection of ink pens and frogs. Among many things, she will be remembered for the love she had for her children.
Holly was preceded in death by her mother, Cindy Gillespie. She is survived by her son, David Thackston; daughter, Mercy Ann Grace Thackston; her father, Chester Fultz; two sisters, Amy Woods and Brittany Fultz; her aunt and caregiver, Teai Dehaven; and cousins, William Byus, Curtis Byus, and Justin Smith.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Aberdeen Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow the gathering at 3 pm Saturday at the Aberdeen Baptist Church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
