Jacqueline "Anastasia" Marshall King's Obituary
MARSHALL KING, Jacqueline “Anastasia”, age 69, of Pleasant Plain and formerly Oregonia, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Hospice of Cincinnati/Blue Ash.
Jackie worked several years as a deputy for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, several additional years for the police department in Waynesville, and retired in 2000 as a health and safety officer after 15 years of service for the Lebanon Correctional Institute. She was a member of Christ Fellowship at Little Miami.
Generous, passionate, loving, caring, and driven, Jackie had a zealous personality and never hesitated to assist friends and family. She loved spending time with her family and attending church. The many beloved dogs she rescued and cared for over the years gave her purpose and displayed her love for animals. She was passionate about family connections, especially researching her family roots through genealogy. When the kids were young, Jackie often took them to Mammoth Cave and Gatlinburg for family vacations. In addition, it was also tradition for Jackie to host Thanksgiving and Christmas at her home. Christmas was made special each year because she always made sure the song Feliz Navidad was played several times, and she took great pride in being able to provide gifts for her family as a result of her humble upbringing. The corn fritters she made for Thanksgiving will always be remembered fondly as a family favorite. She will also be remembered for the tradition of celebrating birthdays with a giant cookie and pizza.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Marshall, and four sisters, Louise Caldwell, Martha Spencer, Judy Sexton, and Jeanette Maggard. She is survived by her son, Scott (Cindy) Hagemeyer; daughter, Tiffany (Mike) Linville; four grandchildren, Dr. Lyndsay Hagemeyer, Isaac Hunter-Linville, Evan Hunter-Linville, and Owen Hunter-Linville; two brothers, Frankie Marshall and David Marshall; three sisters, Linda (Ron) Blackburn, Sara Frazee, and Jeanne (Harry) Dillow; Jackie’s spouse, Randy King; special niece, Misty (Keith) Horton; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Ben Walker will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Christ Fellowship at Little Miami. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
