James "Jim" C. Bricker's Obituary
Bricker, James “Jim” C., age 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at his home in Waynesville. His passing was unexpected; he went to bed looking forward to the project he would work on the next day.
Jim grew up in Celina, Ohio, He earned an engineering degree and an MBA at the University of Dayton. After college, he served honorably as a captain in the Air Force (Foreign Technology Division). He retired after a career in equipment design.
Being responsible for his family and safeguarding them was Jim's priority. He was loving to his family and kind to all. He was intelligent, hardworking, and had a wonderful and gentle sense of humor. He enjoyed being productive and finding creative ways to solve problems. His hobbies (furniture building, home repair, and wood turning) were superb in their craftsmanship.
He was always even-tempered, even at difficult times. He never turned down a request for help from friends or family, and everyone who met him liked him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Bricker. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda; daughter, Julie (Bricker) DiIulio and son-in-law, Darren DiIulio; a grandson, Marcus DiIulio; two sisters, Dottie (Bricker) Meisse and Linda (Bricker) Chapman; Jenny (Chapman) Haines, Matt Chapman and Ryan Lyle.
