My earliest memory of Jim was when I was in high school, he was the chief police officer and we didn’t want to get “caught “. I remember that he was a very thoughtful person when he worked at the Waynesville National Bank.. my father had passed away in San Diego, and Jim knew that I didn’t have any money, so he went to the bank and gave me a loan so I could go to San Diego.
