James Ellis II's Obituary
James Ellis II, age 46, of South Lebanon and formerly of Lebanon, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022.
James graduated from Lebanon High School and the Warren County Career Center in 1994. He was currently employed at Graham Packaging in Mason and formerly worked as an operator at Gayston Corporation, a picker at Kohl’s Warehouse, a clerk at Kroger’s, forklift operator at Portion Pack, and a press operator for Blackhawk.
Always funny and joking with people for fun, James’ personality can be described best by his description of himself on Facebook: “I’m a down-to-earth, country boy at heart, who is faithful, loyal, honest, caring, and loving!” His hobbies included fishing, hanging out with his friends, and attending family reunions in Kentucky. He loved country music and was inspired by the lyrics in several of his favorite tunes. James also enjoyed cooking, with his banana pudding, banana bread, fudge, and mint chocolate Oreo desert being some of his more notable concoctions. Among many things, he will be remembered for the admiration he had of his authentic Jeff Gordon car and the love he had for his Cane Corso dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Ellis, and stepmother, Norma Ellis. He is survived by one brother, John Roy (Michelle) Ellis; two sisters, Jamie (Eric) Metcalf and Melissa Helmbold; two stepsisters, Amy West and Brooke Warner; stepbrother, John Warner; ten nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 15 at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Waynesville. Rev. Tim Noble will be officiating. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
