James Gompf's Obituary
GOMPF, James F. age 79 of Waynesville and formerly of Dayton passed away Fri. April 8, 2011 at Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville. James was a Korean War Army veteran and retired from GM. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing checkers, spending time with his family, and being a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by one brother Ted Gompf. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy; son James Jr. (Patty) Gompf of Waynesville; two daughters Nicola (Roy) Bayes of Waynesville and Bobbie Oney of Clarksville; six grandchildren Michael (Krista) and Jon (Bobbi) Gompf, Tiffany Bayes (James Brooks), Taylor and Travis Bayes, and Kelly Oney; seven great grandchildren Kenzie, Isaac, Ulric, Ayana, James, Terrell, and Kalisha; two brothers George of NM and Tom Gompf of FL; sister Yvonne Shaffer of FL; and sister-in-law Marjorie Eileen (Johnny) Coffman. Funeral services 2 PM Tues. April 12 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Roger Dale McCloud and Tom Chattin officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
