James L. Jordan Jr.'s Obituary
JORDAN, James L., Jr., age 88, formerly of Oakwood, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Bethany Lutheran Village in Centerville.
James honorably served in the Ohio Air National Guard in Springfield and retired from General Motors. He was an avid golfer and, as a carpenter by trade, loved working with his hands. James and his wife, Annette, traveled throughout the United States, frequently recounting their adventures to family and friends. He was a kind and loving man who was generous to a fault, going to great lengths to ensure his loved ones were safe, happy, and healthy. He took great pride in his wife, “my rock,” and in being a good provider for his family. Among many things, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the memories they made together.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jennifer. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Annette; daughter, Jayna (Larry), and son, John (Barb); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters Harlean, Patricia (David), and Pamela (Jim).
Private memorial services will be held. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. If desired, contributions can be made to the Solar Lodge #730 at 525 West Riverview Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45405. Condolences may be given at www.stubbsconner.com.
