James M. Malicote's Obituary
MALICOTE, James M., age 86, of Mt. Holly, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton.
James was probably the nicest gentleman that you could have met. As someone who lived a very stress-free life, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone and would gladly help out anyone in need. He was passionate about keeping his yard looking nice and found serenity when mowing his yard. He immensely enjoyed playing golf at Holly Hills in Waynesville. He appreciated anyone who would listen to his stories of being raised in Kentucky. His favorite pastime while growing up was shooting pool with his family and friends. He was a fan of watching Nascar and westerns on the TV. His favorite western was Gunsmoke. He had a tradition of having a honey bun and coffee every morning. James loved everything about old cars, how they were made, their shape, and their unique styles. He looked forward to getting an old car and polishing it like a new penny. Among many things, he loved his family and tried to be the best husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, in 2016; parents, Charles and Allonia Malicote; four brothers, Dexter, Billy, Leroy, and Junior Malicote; and one sister, Quanita Malicote. He is survived by two sons, James E. Malicote and Jeffery “Keith” (Sharon) Malicote; three grandchildren, Heather (Jacob) Orange, Greg Bostic, and Ricky Bostic; six great-grandchildren, Colton, Aryston, Peyton, Victoria, Evan, and Delilah; two brothers, Claude (Sharon) Malicote and Stanley Malicote; and three sisters, Vades (Bob) Saunders, Gayle (Don) Baldwin, and Carol (Dale) Wright.
Private services at a later date. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home will be serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
