James Steven "Steve" Meece's Obituary
MEECE, James Steven "Steve” age 51, of Waynesville, passed away Sun. Oct. 29, 2017 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. James graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ‘84. Since he was 15 years old he has been working as a general contractor. He greatly enjoyed farm work, including bailing hay, and especially woodworking and painting. Some would say he was a master craftsman. He was often described as a happy go lucky, very caring, and often imitated but never duplicated kind of guy that would give a stranger his last dollar. He is survived by four sons Josh (Lauren) Patrick, Ricky Taylor, Devin Foster, and Jeremiah Stiles; two daughters Meghan and McKinnley Meece; son-in-law Alexander Wren; four grandchildren Sophia, Bodhi, Dayzie, and Novalea; parents Delores and Robert Whitt; one brother Michael (Joshlyn) Whitt; and one sister Lucinda (Douglas Settlemire) Stamper-Settlemire. Funeral service will be held 1 PM Fri. Nov. 3 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 6 PM - 9 PM Thurs. and 11 AM - 1 PM Fri. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the funeral expenses. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
