Jane A. Mantey's Obituary
MANTEY, Jane Ann, 89, formally of Cincinnati and Crystal River, Florida went to be with her Lord on April 20th, 2021 at Randall Residence in Centerville, Ohio. She was the wife of Paul C. Mantey; they shared 65 years of wonderful marriage together.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Frieda Martin and graduated from Deer Park High School.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cincinnati for over twenty years and was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lecanto, Florida. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, and camping and was an avid gardener. Jane was the former president of the Citrus Garden Club and had a real knack for floral design. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and active in many women’s organizations. Jane will be remembered for her outgoing personality, happy smile, kind generosity, and sharing her faith. Among many things, some of her fondest memories were visiting national parks with her family, which became a family tradition.
She is survived by her husband Paul, daughter Kathleen (Ned); sons Edward (Jeanne), Daniel (Karenina), and Keith; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister Marjorie.
The celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at 4:30 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 4865 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45440. The visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to the time of the service. The service can be live streamed at www.emmanuellc.org at 4:30 PM and a pictorial slide show of Jane will be available at www.stubbsconner.com; both will continue to be available for replay one month following the service. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
