Jason E. Fugate's Obituary
FUGATE, Jason E., age 46, of Franklin and formerly of Oregonia, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his residence.
Jason graduated from Little Miami High School and the Warren County Career Center, class of ’92. He honorably served in the United States Army Infantry Division, stationed in California. He was a Master Electrician, currently working for himself, and a member of the IBEW Local 82.
With an adventurous spirit, Jason enjoyed joking with others, working from home, and was known to be somewhat quiet. He could fix anything and especially enjoyed working on cars and electronics. He was quite talented at playing the saxophone, having been in the band during his school days. His pastimes included boating, riding ATV’s, and white water rafting. His ATV adventures often took him to Haspin Acres in Indiana and West Virginia. Among many things, he will be remembered for his love of flying, once joining friends and landing a float plane on the Ohio River. He also flew with friends to the Bahamas in a small plane.
He was preceded in death by his dad Eddie D. Fugate in 2016; grandparents Mary and George Jackson, Millard “Mack” Birch, and Clayton Simpson. He is survived by his mom Mary Sue Fugate; grandmother Nancy Simpson; two sisters Angela (Mark) Smith and Amy (Michael) Sams; two nieces Felicia Fugate and Briann Woods; and nephew Timothy Woods.
Services will be scheduled in the coming days. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
