Jerry "Mutt" Monnin's Obituary
MONNIN, Jerry "Mutt" age 80 of Springboro passed away Thurs. Sept. 20, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. He graduated from Vandalia Butler High School, class of '50 and was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran. He retired from White Villa Grocers Warehouse in West Carrollton in 1992 after 28 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Flavian and Bertha Monnin; great granddaughter Jamie Lee Monnin; five brothers Marion, Norman, Norbert, Carl, and Bob Monnin; and one sister Virginia Wood. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace; five sons Jerry (Ann), Jim (Dorothy), John (Diane Hutson), Joe (Deanna Rice), and Jess (Pam) Monnin; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one brother Paul (Doris) Monnin; one sister Phyllis (George) Beeson; and three sisters-in-law Mary Bertke, Stella Flaherty, and Anna Marie Mader. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Mon., Sept. 24 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lebanon. Father Bernard Weldishofer celebrant. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Sun. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. In memory of Jerry, contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales building fund.
