I just saw in the Big Spring Herald the notice of Jewel's death. She and I went to school together in Big Spring and lived a block apart. I moved from Big Spring 32 years ago and had lost
touch with her. I'm so sorry to hear of
her death. She was such a sweet person and I have great memories of our school
days together. May God bless and comfort you during this time of grief.

I have many precious memories of Marlene. Mostly of her getting onto me and Don Allen for doing something we weren't supposed to be. Aunt Marlene, as with all her sisters, cared a lot about teaching us what was "right." She played a big part in creating my values and always doing the right thing by people. I think Grandma had something to do with that too.
