Jim Jewell's Obituary
JEWELL, Jim W. age 75 of Waynesville and formerly of Middletown passed away Wed. Aug. 24, 2011. Jim was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Waynesville First Baptist Church and the Jefferson Masonic Lodge #90 in Middletown. An active participant in the Middletown High School Alumni Assoc., class of 1954, he also enjoyed volunteering at Quaker Heights Care Community, woodworking, gardening, fishing, and being a papaw to Tanner. He was preceded in death by two brothers Bob and Joe, his parents Fred and Virgie, and one nephew Jeff Jewell. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sharon, step son Travis and his wife Terri Hatmaker, grandson Tanner Hatmaker, honorary granddaughter Jasmine D. Lee, one brother Buddy "Pete" and his wife Janie Jewell, sister-in-law Sandy Jewell, and many nieces nephews, and close friends. Funeral services 1 PM Mon. Aug. 29 at the First Baptist Church, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Mon. at the church.
