JoAnn Ellis-Villars' Obituary
ELLIS-VILLARS, JoAnn, age 77, of Lebanon, passed away April 7, 2017 at Bethesda North Hospital. JoAnn graduated from Waynesville High School, class of '57. She retired from the National Bank & Trust in Waynesville after serving more than 30 years in the banking business. Throughout the years, she was actively involved in several local civic and social clubs. She was also a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Lebanon. She greatly enjoyed reading and crafting. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd "Bud" Layton Ellis in 2001; one daughter Jennifer Reese; and her parents Cortous and Mattie Amburgy. She is survived by her spouse John "Dick" Villars; son Patrick (Marie) Ellis; daughter Melissa (Blake) Walker; six grandchildren Adam Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Blake Reese, Bethany Reese, Zachary Meneely, and John B. Walker; two brothers Bob (Anne) Amburgy and Wendell (Ida) Amburgy; step son Rick Villars; and step daughters Joy (Greg) Harris, Becky Hickey, and Roxanna (Jim) Garbrell. Funeral services 1 PM Tues. April 11 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 - 8 PM Mon. at the funeral home.
