John William "Bill" Strouse's Obituary
STROUSE, John William “Bill” age 85 of Dayton and a native of Waynesville passed away Sun. Dec. 23, 2007 at Alterra Sterling House of Washington Township. Bill graduated from Waynesville High School and was an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Duriron in 1981 after 22 years of service. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Orlando, past master of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge #163, Past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons #5 in Lebanon, past patron of the O.E.S. Chapter #107 in Waynesville, and a member of Grand Council #134 and Commandery #22 in Lebanon, the Pine Castle American Legion in Orlando and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his first wife Boneita B. in 1969 and later by his wife Lottie B. in 2000. He is survived by one son David Strouse of Dayton; three daughters Carole and her husband Jerry Connor of IN, Sandra and her husband Card Hoffer of Spring Valley, and Judith and her husband Buddy Lovett of VA; nine grandchildren Bonnie Patton, Sam Hoffer, Derek Strouse, Darren, Jared, Leah, and Ryan Connor, and Maggie and Luke Lovett; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thurs. Dec. 27 at STUBBS-CONNER FUNERAL HOME, Waynesville. Masonic and funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM on Thurs.
