Jon W. Mellott's Obituary
MELLOTT, Jon W., age 60, of Franklin and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Hospice of Butler/ Warren Counties.
Jon graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’81. He worked as a truck driver for Werner Enterprises for 12 years. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews as a happy, go-lucky, big-hearted man. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs. One of his favorite hobbies included collecting and scrapping metal. He also immensely enjoyed tinkering around the Warren County Diesel shop. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he appreciated the family holiday get-togethers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Mellott and Nancy E. Mellott. He is survived by his brother, James (Deborah) Mellott; sister, Becky (Bill) McGaw; three nephews, Josh McGaw (Jessica Hampton), Derrick (Tiffany) Mellott, Clifford “CJ” Mellott (Megan Kirkpatrick); niece, Tiffanie (Brad) Doyle; and ten great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 15, at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens in Centerville. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
