I was so sorry to hear about your husbands passing. I am definatley a relational guy and not much for this type of mesage, howver, i just found out and will gone next week and did not want too much time to pass without sending my condolensces. I did not know your husband, but I know you, and can only surmise, that anyone who you allow to be in your life, must be someone very special. There are few people who I would want to be comapred to, but if someone were to ever say, "you sure act like Madelyn", I would consider it a huge honor. you helped me so much when I first moved here, and helped get started what is now, what I believe the best Home and School Base program in the State. Joe was a great friend, mentor, and advisor to me. For several years I had breakfast with Joe, Pat Irelan, Larry Weller, Ron Kronenberger, and many others who counted Joe as a friend. In 1999 he offered a big welcome to me in my first year in Waynesville, and I had the privilege of working with him at the Sauerkraut Festival and on several community projects. You could not be with Joe and not be excited about Waynesville, and he usually convinced you to donate both money and time. You just couldn't outgive or outwork Joe. He spoke to me often about Madelyn and his children, his passion for Waynesville, for the Warren County Career Center, for the APC and the Convention and Visitors Bureau, and of course, for the boat at Lake Erie. Joe also worked tirelessly for the Rotary and Shriners and you could always count on Joe to work the grill. He leaves a giant legacy of selfless service and our community is truly better because of him. I'm going to miss you Joe.##imported-begin##Tom Isaacs##imported-end##
