Joseph W. Isaacs' Obituary
ISAACS, Joseph W., age 78, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at his residence.
Joe worked for nearly 30 years for General Motors in Dayton. He was a member of the Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecost Holiness Church in Lebanon.
Loving, caring, generous, and friendly, Joe was often ornery and loved to joke with friends and family in a fun way. He lived a good life by keeping his relationship with God, his wife, and his family a constant priority. He always introduced his wife as his bride, even after being married for over 50 years. In fact, upon her death in 2017, he had a habit of telling people that he enjoyed his marriage for 55 years and 99 days, which he was extremely proud of. He had tremendous faith in the Lord and liked praying for people. He was known to organize prayer lines at church on a regular basis for anyone in need. Other than church and family, his other hobby was making candy, specifically buckeyes, fudge, and potato candy. He loved to cook, and he worked hand-in-hand with his wife making meals and preparing the holiday feasts for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, in 2017; one son, Joseph W. Isaacs II; two daughters, Buffy Isaacs and Stephanie Coffman; two grandchildren, Amanda Jordan and Joseph W. Isaacs III; his parents, Willard and Anna Isaacs; and two brothers, Scotty Isaacs and Ray Isaacs. He is survived by two sons, Rodney Isaacs and Jeff (Mel) Isaacs; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, James (Louise) Isaacs, Herman Darrell (Hui Suk) Isaacs, Paul (Judy) Isaacs, and Robyn (Michelle) Isaacs.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 27, at Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecost Holiness Church in Lebanon. Dakota Smith and Larry Isaacs will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5 - 8 PM Monday at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
