Joseph W. Rigg's Obituary
RIGG, Joseph W. age 105, of Otterbein Lebanon Senior Lifestyle Community, and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Wed. Dec. 27, 2017. Joseph owned and operated Rigg Sheet Metal Company in Dayton, retiring in 1975 after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Centerville Community Church. He greatly enjoyed golf, woodworking, and working around his home. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; son Jerrold Rigg; daughter Marilyn Hartman; his parents Jacob William and Kizzie Rigg; five brothers George, Robert, Richard, Howard, and Karl Rigg; and two sisters Esther Rommel and Ruth Pierce. He is survived by one daughter Lynda (Merl) Cummings, daughter-in-law Caroleen Rigg; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, one sister Eleanor Wean, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wed. Jan. 3 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 1-2 PM Wed. at the funeral home.
