Joseph A. Stammen's Obituary
STAMMEN, Joseph A. age 83, of Waynesville, passed away Wed. Feb. 3, 2016 at Hospice of Butler/Warren County. Joseph was a Korean Conflict Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Waynesville American Legion Post 615 and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Bernadine Stammen and one sister Mary Jane Fleckenstein. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; three sons David (Sandy), Daniel (Cindy), and Gary Stammen; three daughters Sharon (Neal) Shade, Theresa (Jim) Smith, and Beth (Chris) Eppich; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers Lavern and Thomas Stammen; two sisters Phyllis (Ray) Miller and Betty (Kenny) Werling; and brother-in-law Al Fleckenstein. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Sat. Feb. 6 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Fri. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler/Warren County.
