Judith C. Ball's Obituary
BALL, Judith C., age 74, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at her residence.
Judy graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’67. She attended the Red Lion United Methodist Church.
Judy has been described as happy, friendly, loving, and caring by her friends and family. She was extremely family-oriented and was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an expert seamstress and greatly enjoyed her many sewing and craft projects. She and her husband would often participate in craft shows and were regular exhibitors at popular local festivals such as the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival and Lebanon Apple Fest, as well as many others. Judy enjoyed playing Euchre with friends in her card club, listening to country music. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband. They’ve traveled everywhere from Alaska to the Florida Keys, with regular visits to Gatlinburg, one of her favorite places. As she grew older, she often collected ducks to decorate her home. While growing up, her family raised horses, which led to a lifetime of love for the majestic animals. During her adult years, she cared for a couple of dogs, Bingo and Snickers, that she would never admit gave her great joy. The pride of her life, however, was her kids and grandkids.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Merill and Lounette Miller. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jerry; two sons, Gregg (Vera) Wical and Gabe (Lora) Wical; two daughters, Stephanie Ball and Lisa (Nick) Howard; eight grandchildren, Emma, Ben, Xander, Sophia, Isaiah, Maddie, Olivia, and Henry; and three siblings, Peggy Clark, Glenda (Paul) Warman, and Tim (Terry) Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 29, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. The burial will be at Willow View Cemetery in Dayton. Pastor Brian Blankenship will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends from 6 -8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and in Judy’s memory, contributions are encouraged to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) at www.jdrf.org.
